We took off early Sunday morning July 31st for LAX. And we hit the ground (or minivan) running!
This little guy was excited to be in California!
And we're OFF!
First Stop right out of the gate........
Then lunch at In N Out in Beverly Hills! And to check some things off our list......
Cool Movie theater.....check!
Let's be honest... I don't know who half of those people are, but I don't ever want my kids to forget that I took them to see all of those people. We drove through a NOT SO GREAT part of town to get there and I was feeling pretty proud of myself!
Here we are at The Forum! It was pretty retro!
The girls were star spotting in the crowd on the floor the entire time. So fun!
We spent the first night in Burbank at the Residence Inn. Day 2 of our trip we headed to Warner Brothers Studios for a tour. Our hotel was only about 10 minutes away from WB......perfect!
I already can't remember what this is...but I think maybe a store front for Annie, or Spiderman, or Friends, or ER or something!
This tour was a total score for Emma because this is the set of Pretty Little Liars. This is their church and many other sets. They were actually filming when we were there, so we saw the red lights flashing on the studio which meant they were filming right there.
Full House House
Cool for Mom (Me) on the "Friends Set"
And the Oscar Goes To...... Emma!
And the Oscar Goes To..... Ellie!
We left WB and were starving. We headed to Pinnochios in Burbank, suggested to us by a friend. It was quite the experience. We just wanted pizza, but they didn't serve pizza until after 2:00 and we KNEW we were in over our heads, but it was too late to get out of it. We were tourists in a local place and we were out of our league!
Then we headed to Santa Monica and checked into the JW Marriott for 3 nights. FAB.U.LOUS!
These are Pics on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica and Malibu. It just felt soooo great outside and the cool, crisp, salty open air was so welcoming for this Texas Crowd!
And a quick pic of the kids in the Cockpit of the airplane. I'm just going to leave this right here since I can't figure out how to slide it to the top!
